📘 About the Loan Amount
Instead of starting from the loan amount, this calculator starts from what you can pay each month. Give it an EMI you are comfortable with, an interest rate and a tenure, and it works backwards to the largest loan that EMI can repay.
It is a quick way to set a realistic budget before you shop for a home or car, and to see how a lower rate or longer tenure raises the loan you can service.
🧮 Formula
At 0% interest the loan amount is simply EMI × n.

❓ Frequently asked questions
Is this the loan a bank will actually approve?
No. It shows what your chosen EMI can repay mathematically. Lenders also look at your income, existing EMIs, credit score and the value of the property or vehicle.
How does the tenure change the answer?
A longer tenure lets the same EMI support a larger loan, but you pay far more interest in total.
Which EMI should I enter?
A common guide is to keep all your EMIs together below 40% of your monthly take-home income.
How much home loan can I get with a ₹25,000 EMI?
About ₹28.8 lakh for 20 years at 8.5%, or ₹31 lakh for 25 years.
