📘 About the JWT Decoder
A JWT (JSON Web Token) is three Base64URL parts joined by dots: header, payload and signature. Paste a token to see the decoded header and payload as formatted JSON, with the algorithm and the issued-at and expiry times in readable dates.
Tokens can grant access to accounts, so decoding happens only in your browser.
💡 How to use the JWT Decoder
Paste the token (with or without "Bearer ").
Read the header and payload.
Check whether it has expired.
❓ Frequently asked questions
Does it verify the signature?
No. Verifying needs the secret or public key, which you should never paste into a website. Decoding only reads the data, which is not encrypted.
