📘 About the Quote Generator

Send clients a clear, professional quotation before you start work. Add your business details, the client, each item or service with quantity and price, then discount and tax. Set how long the quote is valid and your terms — for example the advance you need.

Switch the title to "Estimate" for an approximate price, or to "Proforma invoice" when a client needs a document to arrange payment or an import licence before the final invoice.

💡 How to use the Quote Generator

  • Enter your business and the client's details.
  • Choose Quotation, Estimate or Proforma invoice, and set the date and "valid until" date.
  • Add items, discount and tax.
  • Write the scope and terms; keep the customer acceptance box on if you want a signed approval.
  • Print or save as PDF and send it.

❓ Frequently asked questions

How do I save it as a PDF?

Click "Print / Save as PDF" and choose "Save as PDF" (or "Microsoft Print to PDF") as the printer. On a phone, use Share → Print → Save as PDF.

What is the difference between a quote and an estimate?

A quote is a fixed price for defined work, usually binding for its validity period. An estimate is an approximate price that may change.

What is a proforma invoice?

A preliminary invoice sent before delivery, showing what will be billed. It is not a tax invoice and is not entered in your accounts.

How long should a quote be valid?

Commonly 15 to 30 days, shorter if your costs change quickly.
