📘 About the Receipt Generator

Give your customers a proper receipt for every payment — cash, UPI, card, bank transfer or cheque. Add your business details once, then who paid, what for and how, and the receipt shows a clear PAID stamp, the amount in figures and words, and a "received by" line.

Use it for shops, tuition and coaching fees, rent, freelance work, events and donations. Link it to the invoice number when it settles an invoice.

💡 How to use the Receipt Generator

  • Enter your business details (kept for next time).
  • Enter who paid, the date, payment method and transaction or cheque number.
  • List what the payment was for and any tax.
  • Print or save as PDF; "+ New" starts the next receipt number.

❓ Frequently asked questions

How do I save it as a PDF?

Click "Print / Save as PDF" and choose "Save as PDF" (or "Microsoft Print to PDF") as the printer. On a phone, use Share → Print → Save as PDF.

What should a receipt include?

Your business name and contact, a receipt number, the date, who paid, the amount, what it was for, the payment method and reference, and who received it.

Is a receipt the same as an invoice?

No. An invoice asks for payment; a receipt confirms payment has been received.

Can I make a rent receipt?

Yes — enter the tenant as "Received from" and the month's rent as the item. For HRA claims include the landlord's PAN when rent exceeds ₹1 lakh a year.
