📘 About the Attendance Calculator
Most Indian colleges and universities require 75% attendance to sit the exams (as recommended by the UGC and AICTE); some require 80% or 85%. Enter the classes you attended and the classes held so far to see where you stand.
If you are below the target, the calculator shows how many classes you must attend without a break to get back to it. If you are above, it shows how many classes you can miss and still stay at or above it.
🧮 Formula
Counts assume every future class is either attended or missed, one at a time.

❓ Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate attendance percentage?
Divide classes attended by classes held and multiply by 100. 42 out of 60 = 70%.
How many classes do I need to attend to get 75%?
Attend x more classes in a row where x = (75 × held − 100 × attended) ÷ 25, rounded up. At 42 of 60 that is (4500 − 4200) ÷ 25 = 12 classes.
Is 75% attendance compulsory?
Most universities make it a condition for appearing in end-semester exams, with condonation allowed only for medical or other approved reasons. Check your college rules.
