📘 About the JNTU CGPA to %

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (regulations R18, R22 and R25) and JNTU Kakinada (R23) convert CGPA to percentage by subtracting 0.5 and multiplying by 10.

So a CGPA of 8.0 is 75%, not 80%. The same formula converts a semester's SGPA. Older JNTU regulations may differ — check your consolidated memorandum of grades.

🧮 Formula

JNTUH R18 / R22 / R25 or JNTUK R23
Percentage = (CGPA − 0.5) × 10

Where

  • CGPA = JNTU cumulative grade point average
Always check the formula printed on the back of your own marksheet or transcript: if it differs, the marksheet wins.
