📘 About the QR Code Generator

A QR code is a square barcode that a phone camera reads in a second. Paste a website address or any text above, and the QR code appears instantly. Download it as a PNG image for WhatsApp, posters and documents, or as an SVG for sharp printing at any size.

The QR code is made in your browser and contains your link directly — there is no redirect, tracking or expiry date, and you never need an account.

💡 How to use the QR Code Generator

  • Paste your link (starting with https://) or type any text.
  • Open "Size, colour and style" to change the size, colours, margin or error correction.
  • Click Download PNG for screens and documents, or Download SVG for printing.
  • Scan the code with your phone camera to check it before sharing.

💡 Tips for a QR code that always scans

  • Print it at least 2 × 2 cm (about 1 inch); bigger if people will scan from far away — roughly one tenth of the scanning distance.
  • Keep a light background and a dark code. Light codes on dark backgrounds fail on many phones.
  • Leave the white border (margin) around the code.
  • Test it with two or three phones before printing hundreds.
  • Choose High error correction if the code may get scratched or you place a small logo over it.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. The QR code stores your information directly, so it works for ever, with no sign-up, tracking or scan limit. It only stops working if the link or details inside it change.

Is this QR code generator really free?

Yes, completely: no account, no watermark and no limit on how many QR codes you make or how often they are scanned.

What is the difference between PNG and SVG?

PNG is a normal image, good for screens, WhatsApp and Word documents. SVG is a vector file that stays perfectly sharp at any size, which is best for banners, visiting cards and professional printing.

How much text can a QR code hold?

Up to about 2,900 letters or 7,000 digits at Low error correction. Shorter content gives a simpler code that scans more easily, so use short links where you can.

What does error correction mean?

It is extra data that lets a scratched or partly covered code still scan. Low recovers about 7% damage and High about 30%, but higher levels make the code denser.
