📘 About the WiFi QR Code Generator

A Wi-Fi QR code lets guests, customers or family join your network by pointing their camera at it — no spelling out long passwords. It is perfect for homes, cafés, offices, clinics and hotels.

Enter the network name (SSID) exactly as it appears on your phone, the password and the security type. The code is created in your browser, so your Wi-Fi password is never sent to our server.

💡 How to use the WiFi QR Code Generator

  • Type the network name (SSID) exactly, including capital letters and spaces.
  • Enter the password and choose the security type (WPA/WPA2 for almost all routers).
  • Tick "Hidden network" only if your router does not broadcast its name.
  • Download the PNG and print it, or show it on a screen near the entrance.

💡 Tips for a QR code that always scans

  • Print it at least 2 × 2 cm (about 1 inch); bigger if people will scan from far away — roughly one tenth of the scanning distance.
  • Keep a light background and a dark code. Light codes on dark backgrounds fail on many phones.
  • Leave the white border (margin) around the code.
  • Test it with two or three phones before printing hundreds.
  • Choose High error correction if the code may get scratched or you place a small logo over it.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Do iPhones and Android phones support Wi-Fi QR codes?

Yes. iPhones (iOS 11 and later) and almost all Android phones join the network straight from the camera app or Google Lens.

Is it safe to make a Wi-Fi QR code here?

Yes. The code is generated in your browser and the password is not uploaded anywhere. Anyone who scans the printed code can read the password, though, so only display it where you would share the password anyway.

Which security type should I choose?

WPA / WPA2 / WPA3 for nearly every modern router. Choose WEP only for very old routers, and None for open networks without a password.

Why does the code not connect?

Usually the network name or password has a typo or wrong capital letter. Check them in your router settings and make a new code.
