📘 About the UPI QR Code Generator

A UPI QR code lets anyone pay you by scanning it with Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM or their bank's app. Enter your UPI ID (like yourname@okaxis) and the name to show. Add an amount to collect a fixed sum, such as an invoice or a fee, or leave it empty so the payer types the amount.

The code follows the standard upi://pay format used by NPCI, and it is created in your browser. Money goes straight to your bank account — this tool never touches the payment.

💡 How to use the UPI QR Code Generator

  • Enter your UPI ID exactly as shown in your UPI app.
  • Add your name or shop name so payers can confirm they are paying the right person.
  • Optionally fill in an amount and a note (for example an invoice number).
  • Download the PNG and print it at your counter or add it to invoices, then test it with a ₹1 payment.

💡 Tips for a QR code that always scans

  • Print it at least 2 × 2 cm (about 1 inch); bigger if people will scan from far away — roughly one tenth of the scanning distance.
  • Keep a light background and a dark code. Light codes on dark backgrounds fail on many phones.
  • Leave the white border (margin) around the code.
  • Test it with two or three phones before printing hundreds.
  • Choose High error correction if the code may get scratched or you place a small logo over it.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Is this UPI QR code free to use?

Yes. There are no charges from us, and UPI payments to a personal UPI ID have no fees for the payer or the receiver.

Can I set a fixed amount?

Yes. Enter the amount and the payer's app opens with it filled in. Leave it blank for a reusable QR code where the payer types any amount.

Where do I find my UPI ID?

Open your UPI app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm or your bank's app) and look at your profile — it looks like name@bankname.

Is it safe to scan UPI QR codes?

Scanning is only for paying. Never scan a QR code or enter your UPI PIN to "receive" money — that is a common fraud. Always check the name shown before paying.
