Make a barcode for product labels, inventory, library books or shipping cartons. Code 128 encodes any letters and numbers; EAN-13 and UPC-A are the retail barcodes on products; ITF-14 is used on cartons; Code 39 is common in industry and ID cards.

For EAN and UPC, enter the digits without the last check digit and it is calculated for you, or enter the full number and it is checked.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Can I use this EAN-13 barcode on products I sell?

The barcode image is fine, but the number itself must be one assigned to your company by GS1 (GS1 India in India) if you sell through retail stores. For internal use, any number works.

Which barcode type should I choose?

Code 128 for general labels with letters and numbers, EAN-13 for retail products, UPC-A for the US and Canada, ITF-14 for outer cartons.

Will the barcode scan with a normal scanner?

Yes, if printed sharply with enough white space on both sides. Do not shrink it too much — keep the bar width at 2 or more for printing.
