📘 About the Ratio

This calculator works with a two-part ratio a:b.

It simplifies the relationship conceptually and shows each part as a fraction, percentage and share of an entered total.

🧮 Formula

Ratio sum
Ratio sum = a + b
First share
A share = a ÷ (a+b)
Second share
B share = b ÷ (a+b)
Share from total
Share of total = T × part ÷ (a+b)

Where

  • a = first ratio part
  • b = second ratio part
  • T = total
Enter positive ratio parts for ordinary share calculations.
